In 2012, the IERHS/Friends of the INRM enjoyed its most successful (and busiest) year in ages. So when members gathered for our annual meeting on January 8, you would think we spent a lot of time celebrating all that we accomplished. Instead, we spent most of our time together looking ahead to 2013 and beyond, as we unveiled the detailed drawings and renderings for our Phase I building project at the Reardan site. Budgeted at right around $3 million, this project will be the largest ever of its kind in Lincoln County and will be a year-round magnet for tourism and community gatherings. And this is only the beginning! The complete site plan includes multiple phases that will provide vision and opportunity for a new type of destination transportation museum experience. Look for more details in the months to come as we ramp up our fund-raising efforts. We are excited to share these plans with all of those who will join us now and visit us in the decades to come. All aboard!
